Speaker: Dr. Michael Apkon, MBA, MD, PhD, President and CEO, Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids)
Dr. Apkon has served as the CEO at SickKids since January 2014. Previously, Dr. Apkon was the Chief Medical Officer for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Executive Director leading Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital. He is currently a Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto and has held faculty positions at University of Pennsylvania, Yale School of Medicine and Yale School of Management. Dr. Apkon has a BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, MD and PhD degrees from Washington University School of Medicine and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
