Quality Improvement and Health System Funding Reform

These are supportive programs and resources to help organizations adopt and implement new funding models introduced by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under its Health System Funding Reform strategy.

Our programs help organizations adopt:

  • The Quality-Based Procedures strategy, which combines the introduction of new hospital funding models with clinical best practice recommendations for specific populations (e.g. patients receiving hip replacements)

  • Integrated funding models, sometimes known as ‘bundled care,’ where a group of health care providers determine a single payment to cover all the care needs of an individual patient’s hospital care and home care
