Digital Health Initiatives: Enhanced Patient Navigation and Optimizing the Virtual Care Experience

Register for a webinar led by Ontario Health team members about the digital health innovations they're involved with that can help to improve access to health care information as well as facilitate more timely diagnoses and treatments.

After more than two decades of operation, Telehealth Ontario ceased operations in April 2022 to make way for a new and digitally enabled service, Health811. The service, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, supports translation in over 200 languages and aims to enhance equitable access to health information. Learn more about the vision for the service, its approach to triaging those requesting health advice and how the Health811 team is using digital health tools to support people across Ontario to access care whenever and wherever they need it.

Discover how Ontario Health’s Clinically Appropriate Use of Virtual Care Guidance is helping clinicians to deliver virtual health care and guide decision-making processes around the selection of virtual care modalities. Aligned to Ontario Health Quality Standards, the guidance and its companion tools were informed by expert panels, comprised of clinicians, patient advocates and people with lived experience. The session will highlight the purpose of these digital health-focused initiatives and their impact on system users.
