Angela Morin has been partnering with health care professionals in quality improvement initiatives, policy and facility design, and program development as a Patient and Family Experience Advisor at Kingston General Hospital since November 2011.
She currently sits on both the Kingston General Hospital and the Southeast Regional Cancer Centre Patient and Family Advisory Councils as well as Accreditation Canada's Client and Family-Centred Care Advisory Group. She is a Core Faculty Member and Coach for the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement's Collaborative “Partnering with Patients and Families for Quality Improvement.” In 2014 she was appointed Co-Chair of the Minister of Health's Quality of Care Information Protection Act (QCIPA) Review Committee.
Angela is a graduate of Queen's University, a former small business owner and has extensive experience motivating and coaching professionals as an Executive Search and Career Transition Consultant. She believes partnering with patients and families in health care at every level is the right thing to do. Angela's personal experiences as a patient, family member and while supporting a close friend through her breast cancer journey, have motivated her to bring the patient and family voice to health care.
