Learning objectives:

  • Describe what Patient Engagement is, and how it supports high quality health care.

  • Become familiar with Health Quality Ontario’s Patient Engagement Framework.

  • Understand how patients are being engaged and highlight collaboration activities for the Health Links approach to care.

  • Hear first-hand from a patient representative on how they became involved & what keeps them engaged.

  • Learn about resources to guide you in planning for, implementing, and evaluating Patient Engagement activities.

  • Hear about the experiences of your colleagues and how these practices may be implemented in your local Health Link.
