Dr. Bernard Leduc took office as president and Chief Executive Officer of Hôpital Montfort, in Ottawa, on January 4, 2010. Hôpital Montfort is the Francophone Academic Hospital of Ontario and in 2014, it received Accreditation with Exemplary Status from Accreditation Canada. Previously, Dr. Leduc served as chief-of-staff at Hôpital Montfort from January 2004 to November, 2009. Dr. Leduc has a 27-year experience in the practice of family medicine.
He obtained his Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from Queen's University in January 2010.
In 2004, Dr. Leduc was awarded the Irwin Bean Award, given to the individual in the group of eligible practitioners who obtained the highest score on the certification examination in family medicine of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He is co-recipient of the Teacher of the Year 2006-2007 Award of the Program of Family Medicine, Hôpital Montfort. In 2010 he was awarded the Ralph E. Giffin Award for his contribution to the Queen's Executive MBA Ottawa program.
Dr. Leduc sits on many Boards of Trustees. He is Board Chair of the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA).
He is also a surveyor for Accreditation Canada.
