It has long been recognized that how we pay for health care in Canada has resulted in a system that does not appropriately incentivize high-quality care along many of its six domains of quality.
“When it comes to moving health care practices forward efficiently, Canada is a country of perpetual pilot projects. We seldom move proven projects into stable, funded programs, and we rarely transfer the outcomes of pilot projects across jurisdictions. This approach is not serving our health care system well.”
As we enter 2017, the concept of finding joy in work may sound more like one of the warped slogans from George Orwell’s novel 1984 than a desirable and achievable goal.

Moving from good to excellent in the delivery of quality health care is a journey that will never end – better has no limit.

We’re sorry.
We made a mistake.
We commit to doing better in the future.
Nobody wants to start a conversation this way.
